Kruttika Desai is an Indian actress who has appeared in films, plays, and on television. She rose to prominence in the 1990s with the serial BUNIYAD, and later for her role as Vishkanya in the popular fantasy series Chandrakanta. Over the next two decades, she went on to earn huge recognition for portraying a wide range of characters in television soap operas such as Kismet, Dewaar, NOORJAHAN, Junoon, Lipstick, Tumhari Disha, and hosting many shows such as Mansi, Suprerhit Muqabla, UTTARAN is the first television actress to go bald for a show. Recently, Ram Milaayi Jodi, Uttaran, Mere Angne Mein, Shakti, and Pandya Store have all been released. She born on 23 February 1968 and her age is 54 years.

Krutika participates in “Akansha,” a theatre workshop for street children, and has appeared in several Gujarati plays, including Shodh Pratishodh. The actress went on to shave her head for the serial Uttaran, making her the first woman in Indian television history to do so. Krutika appeared in several popular Indian soap operas, including Ram Milaayi Jodi, Uttaran, and others. In 2015, she portrayed Shanti Devi in the Star Plus serial Mere Angne Mein, which became one of the most popular and longest-running shows. The show ended its two-year run in August 2017.

Krutika Desai, who plays family matriarch Suman in Pandya Store, has spoken out about losing her husband, Bollywood actor-director Imtiaz Khan, just days before the Covid-19-induced lockdown last year. She explained that because of the lockdown, she and her daughter Ayesha Khan had to deal with their loss alone because no one could come and visit them. Krutika Desai told a leading daily, My world turned upside down after my husband died suddenly.There were benefits and drawbacks to the lockdown, because it was nice to have that peace and quiet at home with my daughter Ayesha. I needed time to process this tragedy, and the lockdown provided it. On the other hand, just a few days after he died, my daughter and I were left alone—no one could come and visit us or console us in our grief. We were forced to deal with our loss on our own.
She continued, It was difficult, but the way he said goodbye was heartening.He closed his eyes and said, Chalo Kruttika, I’m leaving now. In those final moments, he conveyed so much through his eyes, bestowing his love and strength on me. That gave me the strength to move forward and become a better person for my daughter, who was very close to him.
Krutika Desai married Imtiaz Khan, the late actor Amjad Khan’s brother. Ayesha, the couple’s daughter, was born.
